Here is a quick picture tutorial on how I made my Spring Blooms Table Runner!
I first saw this in a Canadian Living magazine a quite some time ago, and finally got to make it!
You need a white table runner and some coordinating material that suits your decor or the season.
I didn't have a runner so I picked up a white cotton twin sheet. I cut it to the size I needed to fit my table.
I hemmed the sides as was needed.
Then I used some Heat n Bond that I had in my stash.
Cut the material and heat n bond to the same size.
I cut mine approximately 4 inches by 12 inches.
Follow the directions on the tempature for your iron and the steps to take.
Once you have your material bonded to your heat n bond, use a die cut or trace/draw your flowers on the back side (paper side) of the material and cut your design.
I used both my Big Shot machine and also drew some flowers.
I free handed my leaves and grass, and used a ruler for the stems.
When you are ready to layout your design on the runner, peel the paper backing off.
Lay out your design so that it covers about a foot on each end.
Next iron your leaves, stems, and flowers. I did one flower at a time. Once all of the flowers are adhered iron on the bottom grass.
Follow the same steps on the other side. Iron the completed runner and enjoy with your Easter brunch!
